Why choose a cash in transit course?

To work in the cash-in-transit industry (CIT) in NSW, you must undertake a combination of CPP30411 Certificate III in Security Operations and CPP20212 CII in Security Operations to comply with the Security Industry Regulator's Requirements. Upon completion of this course you will be able to apply for a category 1F Licence with the SLED.

Once you have obtained the 1F Licence you will have to seek employment in the CIT industry and your potential employer will provide you guidance and support to obtain your `H Licence from the NSW Firearms Registry. The benefit of completing this course is that we can assist you to seek employment in the CIT industry which attracts highter pay rates. We also provide you with the knowledge and skills to deal with high risk situations which can enhance employment opportunities in any workplace.


Enrolment requirements:


To undertake this training, students must:

  • Be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen or have full time working rights in Australia (student or working holiday visas are not accepted)
  • Sign a Statutory Declaration regarding Criminal History  P1016 Form as per SLED requirement
  • 100 points of ID - please refer to the form downloads menu for the accepted documents
  • Provide us with a USI (Unique Student Identifier) - for more information :http://www.usi.gov.au/Students/Pages/steps-to-create-your-USI.aspx
  • Meet prescribed language, literacy and numeracy requirements as per the SLED requirement

Pre requisites:

The following pre requisite units (which are part of the 1AC Licence category) must be completed before commencement of 1F :

CPPSEC2003B Work effectively in the security industry
CPPSEC3002A Manage conflict through negotiation

Did you complete your Certificate II in Security Operations before or after May 2013?

Course Structure:

Common units for 1B, 1F and 1D:

1.      BSBFLM303C Contribute to effective workplace relationships 

2.      BSBWOR301A Organise personal work priorities and development

3.      CPPSEC3001A Maintain workplace safety in the security industry

4.      CPPSEC3002A Manage conflict through negotiation

5.      CPPSEC3003A Determine response to security risk situation

6.      CPPSEC3005A Prepare and present security documentation and reports

7.      CPPSEC3006A Coordinate a quality security service to customers

8.      CPPSEC3007A Maintain security of environment

9.      CPPSEC3009A Prepare and present evidence in court

10.    CPPSEC3017A Plan and conduct evacuation of premises


The training hours for aforementioned 1F common units is 70 hours (the first 8 days of the course)

Elective units for 1F:

1.     CPPSEC3052A Inspect and test cash in transit security equipment

2.     CPPSEC2013A Protect valubles in transit

3.     CPPSEC2027A Load and unload cash in transit in a secured environment

4.     CPPSEC3050A Load and unload cash in transit in a unsecured environment

5.     CPPSEC3051A Implement cash in transit security procedures


The training hours for aforementioned 1F elective is 32 hours (the final 4 days of the course)

Monday to Saturday - 7:30am - 6:30pm

If you would also like to obtain your 1B Licence category, you will need to complete an additional day of training (Tuesday of Week 2). We are currently offering a special package price for 1B+1F.
